For me, Christmas is a time filled with the distinctive smell of Christmas trees, mulled wine and mince pies. I love the excitement in the build-up to the holidays - decorating the house, wrapping presents, baking treats and preparing to welcome in friends and family. Although my children are now well into their teens, I still love the magic of it! Nothing marks the start of the festive period more than putting up a tree (must be real!) and decorating the house with spruce, pinecones, dried fruit slices and a bit of sparkle.
